So this month is for creating with glass (hint May will be too, but in another art form 😉).  Moving back into jewelry for the month of March, next week I begin a 4 week course learning to enamel.  I've been experimenting a bit, but it will be good to get some formal training under my belt as there's a lot to learn!  I'll also be sending my newsletter out again, so if you aren't already subscribed be sure to do so ASAP!

It's really crazy how things have opened up as I set the intention for growth and forward progress, which is also helping me to feel some hope again!  In addition to the enamel classes, I'll be creating a mosaic honeycomb triptych for The Beehive Project at The Ruins in Perryopolis, PA alongside artist and owner Rachel Sager and 149 other artists. I'll be creating with smalti, an Italian glass created for ancient mosaics.  Learning to cut, melt, and mix the smalti will also be a segway into learning to create filati, which I will (possibly) learn in Ravenna, Italy later this year where I will train in the ancient and sadly dying art of micromosaics!  This will be a solo journey, one I am excited, but also terrified by, and also one I believe to be truly necessary for my future self in both growth and healing.  There are a lot of logistics to figure out for that trip though!  The very first being that I need to get my passport again as it has LONG EXPIRED, so long ago in fact that it was in my maiden name 😳 from back in my former flight attendant days.

I've already been dabbling in the micromosaics and I am also set to begin creating micromosaics in the front window at Nest on the Island of Venice on Miami Avenue for all to see how intricately they are made. Â This is also a new location where you can see, touch, try on, and purchase my jewelry and other wares. Â I will update everyone once a commencement date is chosen (it will be soon). Â We think this will be a fun twist using the ancient glass from the very last glass furnace permitted to operate with fire in the city of Venice, Italy, Orsoni, and Murano glass as well, creating in the ancient technique of Italian mosaics, yet creating stateside in Venice, Florida.

Why I've been so absent...
SORRY, NOT SORRY!!!
Trigger warning! - This is an emotional post/update about where I am emotionally and where my current future plans are taking me/us (this post is more of a journal entry and it's kind of heavy).
I don't know who this will reach and I'm not sure where to start so here goes...

I am changing virtually everything, as very little seems to be working for me anymore.  Going forward I will not be very active on social media, because in all honesty it's been slowly killing me for quite some time, so for my own sanity and mental health this one is an absolute necessity!  I've already turned notifications off, so if you message me please know that I might not see  it right away, but I am NOT ignoring you...
For now you will find me most active on my blog and Pinterest.  I'll be posting updates, videos of progress, successes, failures, collection release dates etc...

If you are unsure of your ring size I offer inexpensive reusable sizing bands. You can also visit a reputable local jewelry store and ask to be sized.
